In April of 2023, Veronica O. Davis P.E., Director of Transportation and Drainage Operations for Houston Public Works, was awarded the Rosa Parks Diversity Award by the Women's Transportation Seminar International (WTS) - Houston Chapter.
Each year the award is presented to a recipient who, "exhibits extraordinary efforts or initiatives in facilitating professional opportunities for women and minorities."; and whose contributions to the transportation industry significantly promote diversity, inclusion and multi-cultural awareness within their organization and further support the goals and mission of WTS.
