How We Can Help
You can submit a request to the Communications Team for support with a variety of needs, including:
- Graphic design (flyers, posters, signage, event materials)
- PowerPoint design or copy review
- Email blasts (including funeral announcements, department-wide notifications, policy updates, event invitations)
- Digital signage
- Website updates or new content
- Photography or videography requests
- Social media posts or coverage

Required Review & C-Suite Approval
To ensure consistent messaging and proper representation of Houston Public Works, the following items must be submitted to the Communications Team for review and, where necessary, C-Suite approval, before public use or distribution:
- External Documents: Any document provided to or viewed by the public, including newsletters, door hangers, flyers, videos, or public-facing dashboards/maps.
- Website Content: All website information, visuals, and documents posted on the Houston Public Works website.
- Presentations & Speeches: All public-facing PowerPoint presentations, conference presentations, and requests for attendance at events to speak and represent Houston Public Works.
- Internal Messaging: Department-wide email blasts and department-wide postings (such as elevator signage or posters).
- Public Outreach: All social media posts and advertising materials.
- Branded Materials: All promotional or branded materials that display the Houston Public Works logo.
Social Media
The Communications Team manages all official Houston Public Works social media channels. These platforms are used to share event information, project updates, service alerts, community engagement efforts, employee recognition, and other relevant information.
